Summary
Apex Trader Funding is one of the largest futures prop firms in the world. Since version 4.0 of its rules (March 2026), it offers two drawdown types and keeps its flagship promise: 100% of profits on the first $25,000 withdrawn.
A safe bet in futures, provided you fully master its payout rules.
Overview
Based in Texas and active since 2021, Apex built its reputation on aggressive promotions and very large payout amounts. It is often the first futures firm index traders discover.
Evaluations (Apex 4.0)
Two formats: intraday trailing drawdown ($249 for a 50K) or end-of-day drawdown (EOD, $490 for a 50K) with a $1,000 daily loss limit. On a 50K, the target is $3,000 with a $2,000 drawdown and a maximum of 6 contracts.
Payouts
You keep 100% up to $25,000 withdrawn in total, then 90%. To withdraw you need 5 qualifying days, a $500 minimum, a safety net and a 50% consistency rule.
Withdrawals follow a six-step ladder: on a 50K the first is capped at $1,500 and the sixth at $3,000. The rules are demanding, so read them in detail before you start.
