Real total cost calculator

The listed price is not always the final bill. Pick a market, an account size and up to three prop firms: we add up the evaluation fee, the activation fees and the cost of resets if you fail.

Market

Method: public prices without promotions, euros converted at $1.08 (the amount actually charged depends on your bank). Activation fees are those on record in our data (mostly in Futures). A reset is counted as fully re-buying the evaluation: some firms offer a cheaper reset, which we don't track yet — check the pricing page before you buy. Only one-off evaluations are calculated here; for monthly subscriptions, see the pricing guide. Methodology

How to read the result

What the total includes

1

The evaluation fee

What you pay up front to attempt the challenge. In euros, it is converted at $1.08 so firms can be compared.

2

Activation fees

At some firms (mostly in Futures), a fee is added once you pass, to open the funded account. Paid once, never on each attempt.

3

Resets if you fail

If you fail, you re-buy an evaluation to start again. The calculator counts one full re-buy per extra attempt: the most cautious scenario.

FAQ

FAQ: the cost of a prop firm

Is the listed price the final price?

Not always. On top of the evaluation fee you may pay activation fees (once funded) and, if you fail, the cost of a new evaluation. This calculator adds all three.

What is a reset?

Re-buying an evaluation after a failure to retry the challenge. We count the full evaluation fee per extra attempt. Some firms sell cheaper resets, which we don't track yet.

Are activation fees paid on every attempt?

No: activation fees are paid only once, when you pass and open the funded account. Only the evaluation fee is paid on each attempt.

Are promo codes taken into account?

No. These are public prices without promotions. A promo code can lower the real price: see our Prices and promo codes page.
